Creating backups

In this article, you'll learn how to create a backup of your server data.

To get started, navigate to Andromeda and select "Backups" on the sidebar menu.

Press the "Create Backup" button on the right. You may need to wait a few minutes while a backup is created by the system, depending on how large your server is.

Your backup will then appear on the page. The location next to the backup name indicates where it is stored. All backups are stored externally/offsite, so this will be different to your server's location.

You can also rename an existing backup. Simply click the triple dot icon next to the backup, then click "Rename". Enter the new name for the backup when prompted, and confirm you wish to proceed.

All backups are stored offsite (externally) for extra security and redundancy. We recommend taking frequent backups to avoid data loss.
